- 2Do NOT abandon salah — it is the most powerful anchor during dark times
- 3Read/listen to Quran, especially Surah Ad-Duha and Surah Al-Inshirah
- 4Maintain physical health: sleep, eat, exercise — these affect mental state
- 5Seek qualified support — seeing a therapist/doctor is not against tawakkul
- 6Tell someone you trust — isolation deepens depression
- 7Make this dua: "Allahumma inni abduka... laa ilaha illa anta" (Hadith of Yunus)
- 8Do NOT despair of Allah's mercy — this is explicitly warned against in Quran
