How IslamGuide presents Islamic knowledge

🟢 Quran — Primary Source

All Quranic text is sourced from a verified canonical Arabic corpus (Uthmani script). Translations are from established scholars (Yusuf Ali, Pickthall, Arberry, Tahir-ul-Qadri). Every reference includes Surah number and Ayah number. We never paraphrase Quranic text without explicitly noting it.

🔵 Hadith — Prophetic Narrations

Hadith data comes from 9 major Hadith collections: Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, Nasa'i, Ibn Majah, Darimi, Muwatta Malik, and Musnad Ahmad. We display the collection name and hadith number. We do NOT assign authenticity grades unless present in the source dataset. When grade is unavailable, we note: 'Authenticity information not available — consult verified sources.'

🟡 Scholarly Explanation — Tafseer

Tafseer (commentary) comes from recognized works: Tafsir al-Jalalayn, Tafsir Ibn Abbas, Al-Qushairi, and Kashani. The scholar and work are always identified. Tafseer represents scholarly interpretation, not divine revelation — this distinction is always maintained.

🟣 Practical Guidance — Application Layer

Practical steps are structured application guidance. They are clearly labeled as 'practical application' and never presented as religious rulings (fatwa). They are informed by the above Islamic sources but represent a systematic distillation, not a scholarly opinion.

  • ✗We do NOT issue fatwas (religious legal rulings)
  • ✗We do NOT assign authenticity grades to Hadith not already graded in the source
  • ✗We do NOT claim any scholar's opinion as consensus
  • ✗We do NOT present AI-generated text as Quranic or Hadith content
  • ✗We do NOT ignore scholarly differences — we note when scholars disagree

For personal legal questions, marriage/divorce matters, business contracts, inheritance, complex ritual questions, or any matter requiring a specific Islamic ruling — please consult a qualified Islamic scholar in your area or through verified online scholarly resources. IslamGuide is for general Islamic education, not personal legal guidance.

This platform uses pre-verified datasets from trusted Islamic sources. We do not generate new religious rulings.
