Parents (Walidayn)
The rights of parents (especially the mother) hold a position second only to the rights of Allah in Islamic teachings.
🟢Quranic Guidance
Your Lord decreed that you worship none but Him, and that you be kind to parents — do not even say "uff" to them
We enjoined upon man to be grateful to his parents — his mother carried him in hardship
Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, and be kind to parents
🔵Prophetic Guidance (Hadith)

🟣Practical Guidance
🟣 Practical application — structured guidance, not a religious ruling
- 1Call/visit your parents regularly — do not wait for special occasions
- 2Never raise your voice at them, even during disagreements
- 3Serve them physically — their food, medicines, comfort
- 4If they ask something permissible, say yes. If impermissible, decline gently with respect
- 5Make du'a for them daily: "Rabbir hamhuma kama rabbayani saghira"
- 6After their death: Pray for them, give sadaqah on their behalf, maintain their friendships
